Answers to the questions we hear most from property managers, condo boards, developers and installers about Condoplex's integrated building security platform. Looking for details on a specific product? Each product page has its own FAQ section covering installation and technical specifics.
About Condoplex & the Platform
What does Condoplex do?
Condoplex designs and manufactures integrated building security and communication systems for condominiums, mixed-use developments, retirement living and gated communities — including telephone entry, access control, in-suite alarms, intercoms, smart door locks, parking control and water detection, all on a single platform.
How is Condoplex different from other security vendors?
Most vendors sell one piece of the puzzle — an intercom, or access control, or alarms — leaving buildings to stitch together separate systems from separate companies. Condoplex designs the entire ecosystem to run on one server and one database, so every device shares the same resident records, credentials and event history.
Is Condoplex a Canadian company?
Yes. Condoplex Systems was founded in 1987 and has designed, manufactured and supported its products in Canada ever since. Materials are sourced locally wherever possible, and support comes from our own Canadian technicians and engineers.
What building types does Condoplex serve?
Condominiums, retirement and long-term care communities, mixed-use developments, and gated communities. Each has different needs, and the platform is configured differently for each — see our Industries page for details.
What is Property Connect Plus?
Property Connect Plus is the next generation of the Condoplex platform — adding AI-powered access control, a virtual concierge, parcel locker management and EV charging readiness to the system you already own, as an evolution rather than a replacement.
Products & Integration
Do all Condoplex products work together?
Yes — that is the core of how we design. Entry phones, access control, in-suite alarms, intercoms, smart locks, parking control and water detection all run on one server and one database, so adding or updating a resident's credentials updates every connected system at once.
Can I add Condoplex products to my building one at a time, or do I need to install everything at once?
Most buildings start with one or two products — commonly telephone entry or access control — and add more over time. Because everything shares the same platform, later additions integrate with what is already installed rather than requiring a separate system.
Does the system keep working if the internet goes down?
Yes. Critical functions continue locally during an outage: staff can add users and credentials, generate reports, and release doors and elevators, and panic intercom stations continue to reach the guard desk.
Can property staff manage the system remotely?
Yes. Authorized staff can manage credentials, review events and administer the system from anywhere, with cloud backup protecting the building's data.
I already have security equipment from another company. Can Condoplex integrate with it, or do I need to replace everything?
This depends on the existing equipment. Certified Condoplex dealers assess existing installations and advise whether components can be retained, phased out, or need replacement as part of a migration — contact us to discuss your building's current setup.
Installation, Dealers & Service
Who installs Condoplex systems?
Certified Condoplex dealers handle installation and ongoing service. Dealers complete our training program covering product mastery, technical installation and troubleshooting, so every installation meets the same standard regardless of region.
How do I find a Condoplex dealer near me?
Contact us through the Dealers page or the general contact form with your building's location, and we will connect you with a certified dealer in your region.
How long does a typical installation take?
Timelines vary with building size and which products are being installed. Your certified dealer will provide a project timeline as part of the site assessment and quote.
What happens if something breaks after installation?
Certified dealers provide ongoing service and troubleshooting. For product-specific support, contact our support team directly at info@condoplexinc.com or (416) 674-9800.
Getting a Quote & Getting Started
How do I get a quote for my building?
Use the Request a Quote button on any product page, or the Contact Us form. Tell us about your building — size, current systems, and which products you are interested in — and we will connect you with a certified dealer to assess your site.
Does Condoplex sell directly to property managers, or only through dealers?
Installation and service are delivered through our certified dealer network. Contacting Condoplex directly is the fastest way to be connected with the right dealer for your region and building type.
Can I see a demo of Property Connect Plus before deciding?
Yes. Request a demo through the Property Connect Plus page and our team will arrange a walkthrough of the platform.
Does Condoplex publish pricing online?
No. Pricing depends on building size, the products selected, and site-specific installation requirements, so quotes are provided directly by a certified dealer after a brief assessment.
Support, Reliability & Data
Where is Condoplex technical support based?
Support is provided from our head office in Etobicoke, Ontario, by the same Canadian technicians and engineers who design and build the systems — not an offshore call centre.
How is resident data protected?
Resident and access data is stored in the building's own database rather than a broad third-party cloud service, with cloud backup available for disaster recovery. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what is collected and how it is used.
Is Condoplex compliant with Canadian privacy law?
Yes. Condoplex's data handling practices are designed to align with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
Who do I contact for a warranty or service issue?
Reach our support team at info@condoplexinc.com or (416) 674-9800, or contact your certified installing dealer directly for the fastest response.
